Barnyard Buddies

Barnyard Buddies was established in 2003.  It started with a very small herd of Tennessee Fainting Goats, three dogs, a cat and some chickens.  It has grown to include Texas Longhorns, Magpie Ducks, Red Bourbon Turkeys and more! 

You are welcome to come visit Barnyard Buddies on an appointment only basis.   

The Farm 

We migrated from the city to our 40 acre farm in 2003 where eventually Barnyard Buddies was born.

Our Herd

Our herd consist of 140 goats, 4 Texas Longhorns, 9 Mini White Dexter Cattle, 2 Red Bourbon Turkeys, 30 Chickens, 6 Magpie Ducks, 3 horses and 2 amazing DAD (Diabetic Alert Dogs), Jenny and Hannah.

Fainting Goats

Fainting Goats are the highlight of the ranch.  With 12 breeding Sires (males) and 84 Damns (females) they are breeding about 50+ goats each year.   There are also 6 wethers (fixed males) as pets at the ranch.

    Texas Longhorns

    We have 4 Texas Longhorns.  Their names are McQ, Oakley, Annie and Jane.  We do breed our Texas Longhorns. 

    Bourbon Red Turkey’s

    Currently we have 2 Tom Red Bourbon Turkeys.  Their names are Clyde Sr. and Clyde Jr.  These animals are on the endangered species list and that is one of the reasons why we are breeders. We will begin our breeding process in the spring.

      Mini White Dexter Cattle

      Mini White Dexter Cattle are quite new to the market.  They are smaller in size than the average cow.  These animals require less space to graze and can often be quite nice as pets.

      All our Mini Dexters are registered.

      Magpie Ducks

        We have a family of Magpie Ducks and yes, these cuties are for sale.  They are an endangered species so we continue to breed to increase the population and help save this species.
